• What is Gun Potion® and how do I use it?

Gun Potion® is a premium synthetic based lubricant created with a unique feature to glow bright under ultraviolet (UV) light. Developed and tested through the worlds toughest conditions to showcase damages, cleanliness, and proper lubrication for a wide range of mechanical devices. 

 The included dripper tip will allow for controlled precision to drop lubricant into small and tight crevices such as the interior portion of your mechanical device, barrel, rail, frame, hinge, magazine, spring, o-ring, rubber, polymer/plastic, and metal alloy. Safe to use on just about everything except for untreated and non-sealed wood products*. The end effect will be a bright glow under UV light after initial application. 

 Display damages to your device such as cracks or pitting by settling very large amounts of our lubricant to the desired area. Run off will be normal and let sit for approximately 5 minutes. Afterwards, very lightly wipe excess residue and use a desired UV light source to display the settled oil into the damaged area. For example, if cracks and fractures are present the oil will settle into the damaged zone and will glow much brighter than the surrounding area

• Greatly reduces friction on parts while allowing greater surface strength preventing wear marks, premature cracking/chipping, and pitting (gouging, etc).

• Prevents the solidifying of carbon build up on gas and piston operated systems.

• Smooths and silences mechanical operation.

• Traps dirt, grime, and other foreign material for easy clean up.

• Stops oxidation and rusting while neutralizing acid from eating through finishes. 

• Glows bright under ultraviolet (UV) light to verify cleanliness, damage, and proper lubrication

• High heat resistance to burn off up to 600ºF

• Remains viscous under freezing temperatures down to -33ºF

• How often do I apply this to my device?

A clean device is a happy device. You can never go wrong with cleaning and maintaining after each active use to ensure proper reliability and wear protection. However, our formula is meant to handle large amounts of abuse and cleaning will be determined on a case by case basis. This can be visually checked while applying a UV light source to your device. If there is a low level of glow and or foreign contaminants being displayed, this would be a good time to clean and re-apply Gun Potion®.
